^^Hi I have that model except I have the VTI-L model which has 2.3L, yang VTI 2.0L model should be a bit more efficient. Anyway on pure city driving I get around 6.5-7 km a liter for the VTI-L...

I'm reading the thread. What is meant by "FD"?

For the 7km/liter figure city driving, what is the 1.8S AT model? Is it a 1.8 Civic?

FD is the chassis code of the 8th gen Civic.

And yes he is referring to the 1.8 Civic with the S trim...

Fill your car full tank in a gas station of your choice until it clicks only. Afterwards reset your tripmeter to 0 before you move the car. Drive normally to your daily route and after maybe a few days or a week fill the tank again full until it clicks and look how much liter you needed to fill it back into full. From there take the distance from your tripmeter and divide it with the number of liters it took to fill the tank. ANd there goes your FC. Its quite rough but at least you get a more or less figure....
    Thanks for explaining bro..

nasa driving style din yan minsan.. i reach more than 15km/L when i watch the gauge and be conscious about the figures. at 90kmh average i say i wont go below 11km/L

    Sir Jay,

New lang ako dito. I'm planning to buy either CR-V or Tucson, Gas M/T. Ganda ng FC nyo. MT or Matic yang CR-V nyo? Except for the name, what other strong reasons I have to go for CR-V instead of Tucson. Thanks!

I browse through the thread and based from what I've read, I think my 07 model 1.8S AT Civic has a problem. My fuel consumption is just averaging 5.7-6.3km/L. most of the time under 6km per liter lng. Right now, around 11,000kms na yung tinakbo ng car so i guess it is safe to say that is pretty accurate.

regularly ko naman pinapa maintenance (1000 and 10000kms checkup), i maintain correct tire pressure, most of the time i drive alone, i use petron unleaded, stock yung car, city driving (Manila-Ortigas-Makati), what else.... As a comparison, I also have a mazda 3 2L and fuel consumption ko for that one is 7-8km/L. same route, same style of driving.

I informed my service advisor of the poor fuel efficiency of my car and he told me nag request na sila ng tester from the head office and they are just waiting for the machine to arrive. That was about 4 months ago pa. which reminds me to follow it up...

I get around 9km/L +/- 0.5km/L for FD A/T.... Pero 4 full tanks even sub 2000 kms is actually pretty good, what is your exact odometer reading? Also FYI 50L ang full tank ng FD. Pero FC is very hard to compare since we all have different routes and different traffic levels, and different loads...
