Now it's time to wait for that price-reducing-law-on-hybrid-vehicles. Like hell I'm paying 500k more than a Civic for a CRZ.

I'd rather pay for a Civic 2.0L ... why?... Why bother spending a premium of around P500,000 on a "sports coupe" CRZ when you cannot easily modify the car for more power? With a Civic 2.0L, I could just drop in a turbocharger with intercooler and get 50hp right away and it would cost me under P200,000 to have it done properly at a tuner's shop.
You can not do the same with the CRZ.... it might look cool, but as an aftermarket enthusiast, it doesn't tickle me beyond it's looks.
At least it looks better than the Prius... LOLLast edited by ghosthunter; April 25th, 2013 at 12:55 PM.

April 26th, 2013 11:53 AM #7since this is hybrid, would the extra cash you pay be recovered from the fuel cost you save in the long run?

P500,000 premium over a Civic 2.0L ... That P500,000 buys a lot of gasoline.
yes you can recover the price premium in savings in fuel cost .... BUT first you have to drive 230,000 kilometers to break-even (at current fuel prices and at the claimed fuel economy figures of the car). How long do you think the car will last?
BTW that is just straight fuel cost... not fuel cost savings, which would end up around 460,000 kilometers assuming the CRZ gets 50% more fuel mileage as compared to a non-hybrid version of the same car.Last edited by ghosthunter; April 26th, 2013 at 01:02 PM.

To note, according to most reviews, the CR-Z is not as economical as the Prius C. Which means the payback time will be longer.

Nice car. Doesn't make financial sense, but if you want a toy, nice car.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
I am currently observing the 2SM battery installed on my MU-X, Yuasa brand. Kaka 1 yr lang nito...
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
