hopefully with the new Lancer and Altis, Honda would be shaken up enough to bring in the Civic Si sedan...

We can only cross our two fat fingers but I highly doubt it pero if they did buhay nanaman mga ricer boys and the old SIR's will drop from their ridiculous high prices...

To be honest the Corolla has already been released but it seems Honda is comfortable with their current lineup when stacked against the competition. The Lancer is a different story, however, given Mitsubishi has a "not so good" reputation here I don't think the Lancer would post a threat sales wise.

I like the Civic SI in the US. I really hope they bring it here in the Phils.

The new Corolla Altis however failed to impress me with all the minor facelifts.

And the new Lancer, well its really a different story. We'll just wait and see how Lancer will compete against FD Civic.

yup its one of the reasons, since having a big compressor robs the engine of power thereby reducing the drive to the wheels maiking you step on the gas more deeper as oposed when the A/C is off. also thats why some manufacturers are switching to EPS vs. hydraulic power steering to minimize loss in engine powah!
Speaking of Electric Power Steering, parang mas mabigat ang feel ng manibela, compared to hydraulic power streering. Mas nahihirapan akong iliko ang mainbela sa FD, compared to my Accord or B14 Sentra. I kind of like the hydraulic PS better.

The 1.8 still is hydraulic; only the 2.0 has EPS.

I think the reason why 'mabigat' ang feel ng steering ng FD is the relatively small diameter of the wheel. The Jazz has EPS, but I find the steering really light, similar to the CR-V (well which has a bigger diameter wheel)

2.0 lang ba ang EPS? Kasi, sa Specs chart at the Hondaphil website, EPS na lahat ng variants. Even before the recent upgrades (for the S & V), alam ko EPS na ang Civic.

Anyway, will try to double check when I get home. Accord ang dala ko ngayon eh. Parang wala kasi akong nakitang PS pump na nakakabit sa makina.

Pagkakaalam ko din na hydraulic ang PS ng 1.8 variants for the 2006 and 2007 models, only the 2.0 variant has EPS.

I had this problem too nung bago palang ako sa FD. Kala ko malapit na sa pader yun pala ang laki pa ng space. Pero ngayon alam ko na spacing nya, liit talaga hood ng FD kala mo mababanga ka na sa pader yun pala laki pa ng space....
