My friend is choosing between an Xpander and a BRV. He finds it weird when a Honda dealer quoted that the "rustproofing" amounting to 6k is not yet included on the BRV's base price. Is this a standard?

You don't need to get rustproofing. All cars come with standard rustproofing straight from the factory.

Correct us if our understanding on when a dealer presented a separate quotation for rustproofing, does it imply that there was no rustproofing done yet? Just like if they quoted a car alarm system for your brand new vehicle, it does imply that the car alarm system is not yet included on the vehicle's factory anatomy right? Or it is just another "add on" sort of thing?
