Replace same size wiper as the original ... even if a larger one fits, it's not a good idea ... it will add stress and wear out the motor faster ...

November 4th, 2017 09:15 PM #703Not really. If the new wiper is lighter and the profile is less prone to drag during action it will be an improvement.
I now have Bosch AeroFit 22-inches driver side and 14-inches passenger side.
Mas maiksi both wipers than the original but much lighter and slimmer profile.
Hanap pa ko 16-inches for the passenger side. I tried the 18-inches from my EK pero sobra na - overlapping the driver side.
Puwede siguro 24 driver side and 16 passenger side - but you have to try it out kung ibang brand gamit niyo it could be longer
I saw NWBs but those are very heavy and expensive
Still looking for AeroTwins from Bosch pero ok na muna ako sa AeroFit

LONGER than the original one ... not smaller ... doesn't matter how "light" it is ... longer wipers have longer blades, more surface area to wipe ... more stress on the wiper motor ...

November 5th, 2017 07:50 AM #705i have never experienced failed wiper motor.
i have been driving for over 3 decades.
well, once.
kumalas yung linkage. and that was after a few days in the casa for repairs. (let your imagination run wild here.)
an easy fix, once we got the difficult-to-remove covers off. just re-connect.
so i guess, it's more of the linkage than the wiper motor itself.Last edited by dr. d; November 5th, 2017 at 08:04 AM.

I saw NWB wipers in lazada, this one in particular
NWB Design Wiper Blade 22” (Black) | Lazada PH
I'm not sure if these are banana type pero ganda ng itsura niya. Try ko muna yung bosch 22" and 14".

November 5th, 2017 05:45 PM #707YES LONGER. It just happened that the one's I got turned out shorter than what I expected them to be
The longer blade will introduce additional drag due to the wider coverage and "could" introduce stress
But if you get lighter wiper equivalent this can negate the drag introduced by the length
Also if you shop wisely some aftermarket wipers actually have additional properties to make the wipe slicker (some are marketing ploys though)
Beware of NWB wipers especially if you're getting them online like in Lazada.
When I was shopping I held them and they are very heavy, the 14-inch is much much heavier than the 21.5-inch stock wiper.
If I remember correctly there are 4 model lines available.
TIP:
If you're able raise your wipers when you park.
This will prevent dust and other particles from accumulating where the blades rest.
When in motion and wiping is needed and only when possible
activate your sprayer first to displace some dirt, oil and water on the windshield
this should aid your wipers in their motion when they scrub the glass

Should also last longer with the new windshield of our cars - madali mabungi sa worn glass ng old EK ko
Best cost vs performance na Bosch AeroFit sa mga branded

Try denso wipers, super cheap. Hindi nga lang banana type. I spent 530 lang for 18 and 24 in. wipers.
Besides, why buy expensive wipers if we need to replace them ideally at least once a year?
