Next year we might be getting the fuel efficient CR-V with CVT. The US market will get the 2.4 CVT next week.
My list of Most Fuel efficient CUV in 2015 in the Philippine
1. CR-V 2.0 CVT
2. Xtrail 2.0 CVT
3. ASX 2.0 CVT
4. CX-5 2.0 6AT
5. Forester 2.0 CVT

You can't say for sure that just because these CUVs have CVTs, they will have better mileage than a conventional AT.
I've used a CR-V 2.0 6AT extensively and at best it does 8 km/L in moderate traffic. In similar scenarios the CX-9 does 9 km/L. I doubt that adding a CVT will improve the CR-V's efficiency by 12.5%.

Oops, I meant the 5AT for the current gen. Onga pala, Honda didn't have a 6AT locally until the new Accord.
Anyway, we'll see how much of an improvement that CVT gives in local conditions. I've never seen US EPA figures to be applicable to our settings where traffic is much much worse.
