the wheelbase: 2800mm. overall length was increased by 3 inches. this accord is the largest one ever produced by honda, and it's even larger than the camry. tingin ko, may sales booster na naman ang honda. just stick to your mind na hindi ginagawang hotel service cab ang accord unlike its competitors. honda is the most prestigious.

According to the US's EPA, the new Accord is so huge it's now technically a "large car," not a "midsize" car like its older brethren and the Camry.

Whether this is a good or bad thing is up to you to decide. Personally, that just means the smaller Mazda 6 is a better driver's car...and the Accord might make a good pseudo-limo if badge snobbery is cast aside.

The 2008 Honda Accord has similar dimensions to the Acura RL aka Honda Legend.

Precisely why the RL/Legend seems to have lost some of its raison d'etre...mechanically it seems the only trumpcard the RL has over the Accord/Inspire is its trick SH-AWD drivetrain.

It kind of hurts that the 2009 RL looks even weirder now too, with that beak-like grille.

Inside the new Accord, it was like being teleported to 10 years ago but finding yourself in a BMW 5 series, less the electronic gizmos. It seems that the benchmark was set too much into copying the feel of German cars.

an engine's efficiency is determined not only by the amount of fuel being injected into the cylinders, but also the amount of internal friction the engine is generating. In VCM643's case, although fuel is being injected only on the front bank of the engine, it will never be as efficient as a 1.7 liter 4 cylinder engine because the internal friction being generated is still that of a 6 cylinder and more energy is needed to overcome it as compared with a 4 cylinder

I guess it depends on your driving style.
Like if you try to sprint forward every few feet in stop and go traffic, then I guess you'll probably use all 6 cylinders.
For moderate acceleration, the VCM engine uses 4 of its 6 cylinders.
