April 11th, 2007 10:29 PM #582quote=rudyphoto;791495]To Owners of 2007 CRV, post your fuel consumption here in km/L.[/quote]
fuel gauge meter average km per liter: 11.8 km/L but had to make a stop while engine running.....it went down to 10.3 km/L
distance: 302 kms
average speed: 80-120 km/hr...occasional 130's
dont know kung malakas yung consumption cause i am used to my 04 City 1.3 consumption at around 14-16kms/L

April 11th, 2007 10:37 PM #583Average fuel consumption based on the on board meter: 11.8 km/L but had to make a 20mins stop while engine running....meter went down to 10.3km/L
Distance traveled was 302 km/L.
Dont know if malakas yung V sa gas, as i am used to driving a 2004 1.3CVT City which averages from 14-16km/L.
2.4 yung gamit ko pala, average speed was between 80-120kms/hr with occasional 130's.

I would assume na non-city FC yan kasi average speed is 80-120km. medyo malakas sa gas kung hanggang 11.8km/liter lang sya with such a small body. is your unit 4wd?
our former V6 3.0 Chevy venture LWB AT averages 10-11km/liter sa computer meter kapag non-city. but drops to 3-4km/liter normal city driving.

April 12th, 2007 09:09 PM #587hi guys. i'm a little confused which i will get 2.4 or 2.0 which do you guys think would have better gas consumption? my logic tells me that if the vehicle is under powered it tends to eat more gas. you need more pulling power if your body is larger which is the case on 3rd crv vs. 1st crv.
another perspective i'm looking at is 2.0 would be more fuel efficient in traffic situations, smaller engine lesser consumption at idling?
what do you guys think? which would be more fuel efficient? 2.0 or 2.4?

April 13th, 2007 04:20 PM #589Its all about power-to-weight ratios.
I've got a gen-2 CRV (2-litre, 95 RON) and a gen-7 Civic (2-litre, 93 RON). Same engines, automatics, and using the mfr recommended fuel octane for the respective cars, it would appear that the lighter car (Civic) is more powerful and fuel efficient.
Going over to the new CRV, here are the numbers:
6M/T
2.0 (2WD): 150-hp/1.475-tons = 101.70-hp/ton
5A/T
2.0 (2WD): 150-hp/1.505-tons = 99.7-hp/ton
2.4 (4WD): 170-hp/1.600-tons = 106.3-hp/ton
I would therefore lean towards the 2.4-litre model. But that's just me.

Could also be due to the high demand that the manufacturer prioritized new car deliveries vs. spare...
