Every motorist has a right to use the road but we do need to abide with road courtesy and discipline. However, a driver's license and vehicle's registration is a privilege that is granted and can be revoked.

Eh simpleng rehistro at lisensya, karamihan dyan wala. Even worse, karamihan pa walang insurance. Nasisira tuloy yung mga matitino na MC rider dahil sa mas nakakaraming kamote.

walang "right" ang motorista to use the road, meron "privilege". pag sinabi mong right eh karapatan dahil ikaw may ari. dito wala, kaya pwede sila pagbawalan through legal means either by ordinances or lrepublic acts. so kung may sakit ka na nakakahawa like ebola, wala kang right to use the road.

    mali premise mo

I didn't realize you could sign a waiver when you break the law that absolves everyone of liability, including yourself. This is interesting. Very interesting indeed. I was today years old when I learned this. How about you? I wonder if this applies to all laws? #leadbyexample

Cainta mayor apologizes for riding a motorcycle without a helmet
    Published November 1, 2019 6:56pm

Cainta Rizal Mayor Johnielle Keith Pasion "Kit" Nieto apologized in a Friday afternoon Facebook post for riding a motorcycle without a helmet.

"I make this public apology to all who have witnessed me riding a motorcycle without a helmet heading towards a church to attend a wedding. I offer no excuses for breaching the law.. i only attempted to explain what happened and why i did it.. but it does not in any way exempt me from complying with what is required by our laws," Nieto said on Facebook.

The mayor also assured citizens that, on Monday, he would secure a citation ticket at the Land Transportation Office, after which he would head to the Department of Interior and Local Government office to face any disciplinary sanction.

Nieto said that he was ready "vacate his office" if that was deemed to be the appropriate penalty.

Earlier, road safety advocate James Deakin criticized Nieto for violating RA 10054 or the "Motorcycle Helmet Act of 2009."

Deakin meanwhile appreciated Nieto's apology, and it took courage for the mayor to admit his mistake.

"Thank you, Mayor Nieto. Now we can all move forward," Deakin said.

helmet laws are stupid. everyone should have the right to bash his/her head on concrete. as long as taxpayers don't have to shoulder the medical expenses

Haha. Kung walang helmet, walang pananagutan kung sino man ma involve sa kanila in case of any accident.

    Makes a lot of sense.

There is a manhunt now for a kamote MC rider who shot two Skyway enforcers. Reports say the rider with an unauthorized MC passed thru Skyway and was chased by enforcers. The kamote MC rider shot the two enforcers and both are now in the hospital.
