Wala talaga sigurong QC ang rapide . . .

I had my latest oil change yesterday at Servitek, tapos nadaanan ko yung Rapide on my way home. Nasilip ko na medyo maraming nagpapagawa sa kanila, and I could only muttered, "poor unfortunate souls". :D

Rapide, as a matter of principle, establishes a standard that when they sell something, the profit must be more than double. worst thing is if you have them inspect your vehicle be ready for a big surprise because they would tell you to replace parts in your vehicle which are not in fact defective.

A few years ago, one of the wheels on our car got "locked up" so I had it checked in Rapide. They quoted somewhere around 5k - 6k cost of replacing the brake parts (forgot the term).

So I went to the friendly neighborhood mechanic to get a second opinion, un pla, they just need to clean some parts of the brake kaya nagstuck up un wheels. Total cost - less than 1K

If they aren't doing anything unscrupulous (i.e. recommending unnecessary upgrades, or installing parts other than what they said they would install) i don't see what anyone can do about things. Any shop is free to overprice as much as they like, all the casas do that, and they might be doing the same thing to maintain a "premium" image.

Ultimately the best way is to decide with your wallet.

Package daw palagi kahit hindi kailangan i camber...

Total horsecrap...a brake caliper repair kit (I guess that's what Rapide recommended) doesn't even cost PhP5,000. I had Servitek replace mine when one of my old Honda's front disks locked up and it didn't even cost me PhP1,000.

    TAGA! Hehehe
