Saw sa UKG just now, an FD Civic (a 1.8 S model basing from the mags unless nagpalit siya) allegedly lost its brakes then suddenly caught fire inside the engine bay while cruising inside UP Diliman. Ubos yung tsikot, lata na lang natira. The driver and lone passenger survived although the passenger was brought to the hospital for evaluation.

might be a hit-and-run issue. baka ang nakabangga isang VIP from UP. :D it would make sense kasi the front bumper was way off the car.

January 11th, 2008 12:12 PM #9The driver said that the car's brakes suddenly lost power and were not working and then he saw fire coming out of the engine bay. He had to crash his car to a post to stop it before the whole car was engulfed by fire.
This is weird. What could have triggered the fire? HCPI should look at this incident. I'm worried because I drive the same car.
