Mga ka-Fiesta,
Anybody know how much fuel remains when the "fuel low" light first appears?
Googling did not show any results specific to our MK6 or maybe the flavor we have here in the Philippines.
One article said in general about a gallon. Sir Tidus posted a total of 43 liters tank capacity. 3 liters kaya?

According to the owners manual, petrol versions of Fiesta have a capacity of 42L. (Page 111).
No information about any "reserve".

Well on the only time I had the low fuel light on, my fuel computer says I can go only 50km... Given that my average fuel economy was 9.6L/100km...
So by doing some math, its around 4.8L to 5L left before you totally run out...
Again this is all estimated and not exact...

(2) yung total liters of full tank will be deducted to 43 liters since this is specified in the tank capacity specs of our fiesta.
please try it as well and let us know here if you have different figures.Last edited by pista_ni_jon; December 27th, 2010 at 11:24 PM. Reason: pahabol

Very logical sir jon. Problema lang e, walang pera pam-full tank. Acheche!
Though I believe your figure, for safety's sake I will take sir tidus' figure of 5 liters
I read somewhere a full tank provides more weight to carry while too little fuel just sloshes around and evaporates. I wonder what real world experiences our friends have regarding full tank or not?

March 8th, 2011 11:06 AM #6I'm used to commuting daily to work with the fuel indicator light "ON". Pareho kami ni pista, 10 liters ang reserve that last me about 3~4 days from Pasay to San Juan and back, depende sa traffic condition.
I refill with gas when there is roughly 2 liters left in the tank.

Long term plan ko yan sir. I will not mess around with the firmware but plan to read the OBDII port and have the various displays and computations done by a portable computing device. One of the threads already showed this using a bluetooth OBDII connector feeding info to a cell phone.
My general idea is to have an Android touch device that will be built into the dash, maybe in the secret compartment.
One of my frustrations with our FoFi is the lack of a simple temperature gauge.
