    hello,

Who among you guys owning Ford escape that has already replaced their crankshaft pulley (harmonizing shaft) ?

Shops who has expertise, as wrong reassembly will destroy engine....

    Thanks in advance

    hey peeps..

Just to share with you to all Escape owner from 2004 to 2007 models--

I had my escape replaced my crankshaft pulley at MazFord banawe c/o of Chris -- labor more expensive than the actual item replaced. I had to banked on their expertise ( 10 escapes crankshaft pulley successfully replaced ) as it requires special know how. This pulley cannot be pulled out and put back without causing timing issue problems after.

Found out all my engine support are busted too ( 94K odometer ) thus Chris had it replaced for me too.

Symptom of such faulty parts --

    1. squeking sound from engine bay ( from tensioner and fan belt )
    2. engine vibration when DRIVE is engaged while holding brake pedal; aircon is turned ON

Hi Bro. How did you know which parts need to be replaced? Did you have you car checked at the CASA first? How much did everything cost you?
    Thanks!

It was trial and error at 1st --

The squeking sound when I do hard acceleration ( ACU turned On ), I replaced the belt tensioner. It went away for awhile then came back again forcing me to replace tensioner and belt at the same time. After a few months, the same squecking sound again so I drew a marker ( chalk ) on the crankshaft pulley to see if outer pulley and inner pulley does not slide from each other and found it it does thus the final replacement for this part. MazFord from Banawe gave me that advise. However, the damage is done, so I had to replace again, tensioner and belt and finally the pulley.

    Cost -- tensioner ( replacement ) 3.3K
    belt -- 3.5 k
    crankshaft pulley ( original ) 5.5K
labor for replacing pulley 5.5 K ( MazFord mechanics )

Labor for engine support replacement ( all four ) .3.3K ( i used replacement parts,7 k total +3.3 labor ). CASA quote for this reach 30 K so I went back to Mazford instead.

May I know what model is your escape sir ( year ) ?
2.1K for the pulley is very very cheap. Sabi kc sa Mazford..walang replacement part nito...original talga kaya kinagat ko 5.5 K na pulley
