April 25th, 2016 11:33 PM #3532Requirement yan ng dealer, kaya nga Dealer's Incentive eh. They are the ones who dictate sa bank kung how much yung DI nila. Don't pay more than 1% of your total loan amount though. If you can negotiate na wala na lang, the better. Pero they do usually ask for it, lalo na kung selling like hotcakes yung unit.

April 25th, 2016 11:49 PM #3533makikita naman ng casa yan kung worn-out na nga yung brakes nyo. nagtataka lang ako bakit hindi nila naulit na ubos na yung brake pad nyo the first time you went there. unless di pa naman talaga sya worn-out, which means there are other problems on your tires/brakes.
whatever the reason, sana maayos na po yung problem nyo. ask your wife na din po to put the tranny on neutral every time matagal sya naka-stop sa traffic para di mabilis maubos ang brake pads at less stress na din sa engine/transmission.

April 26th, 2016 03:19 AM #3534Like ferrarifan said, how come Casa didn't see if your pads are worn out. On a normal basis, yung brake pads ang culprit. I've changed my vehicles brake pads a couple of time and by design, may metal "tongue" yung pads that gets in contact with the rotor once it reaches the need for replacement. It makes contact with your rotor and thus the sound. Nothing wrong with your car except the need to replace those pads, but its considered consumable, hence not covered by warranty. Get a good aftermarket brake pads such as Brembo.

you consider your lucky for getting the 1st batch ng everest dahil pinagipunan mo? luck o yabang
lumalabas na problems? based on your post it is just a brake issue.
Mention your mileage, If your vehicle reached 20k-40k maybe it does really need a new set of brake pads.
noisy brakes.
Is the sound like a grinding sound? you need to know if the wheel is turning freely or not. if its NOT turning freely then its a sticking brake pad or sticking caliper.
You should know if the brake pads are evenly worn out(inside and outside). if the brake pads are not worn out evenly. first thing to check is the caliper guide pins. these should move freely. you can ask the mechanic to show you. if it moves freely then its probably a caliper issue which should be under warranty.
you can go to any "huge & fancy" tire shop. normally they aren't busy and these tire mechanics on duty can easily have a look. they will charge 150-300 pesos for checking your brakes. you can ask them to lift your vehicle and check if the brake pads are indeed sticking. you can ask the mechanic also to check the guide pin. knowing these brake info should help you with your complaint with Ford. You can also do the brake check with your ford service place.
You can submit a complaint to Ford PH, because of your SA's inability to repair a minor brake issue. They can help sort out your issue. hopefully your vehicle is still under warranty.

April 26th, 2016 12:27 PM #3537Quick question: Can we disable the Lane Change Assist/Alert function? I already set mine to alert only and the lowest sensitivity but the slight vibration still bothers me when I change lanes.
Thanks!

pasensya na kung para sa iyo ay pagyayabang ang dating pero di ako ganun tao. fault ba un if nagkataon na lumabas ang 1st batch? para sa akin, walang pinagkaiba un at i would still consider ourselves lucky kung sa last batch kami ng older model bsta nasa ayos na kalagayan ung sasakyan.
mararamdaman naman siguro sa tono ng pagsasalita or pagsusulat kung nagyayabang o hindi. matagal kami naghintay bumili dahil gusto sana namin ay yung pangmatagalan at maasahan, and base sa available sa market na sasakyan at that time un na nga ung everest.
binanggit ko lang ung brakes issue bec un ung main problem namin and para un ang maging focus sana. ung iba like sa radio frequency na until now ay wala pa rin daw solution according to ford.
anyway, salamat sa informative na post. salamat din kina ferrarifan at predo for taking time to comment. bukas ang sked ko na dalhin ulit ung sasakyan sa service and sasabihin ko ung mga naipayo nyo. again, thank you and good day sa inyo.

DI is paid by the bank to the dealer. normally this is at 1%. so hindi sa iyo mangalaling yung DI.
to make sure punta ka muna sa bank at pa-compute ka ng DP and monthly amortization schedule sa kanila plus effective interest rate. then sabihin mo sila magbabayad ng DI. pag ayaw hanap ka ng ibang bank.
the only time you will pay DI yourself is if you pay in cold cash. wait until december when they are getting rid of their remaining 2016 units, most probably wala na DI at maybe may discount pa.
Agree with you there. Nicely put.
