Based from kiper's Escape performance, dirt roads very capable. There is no LOW gear available. Baka kapusin sa mga bwelo na kakailanganin. Naalala ko last time they went to Terra Pura backyards, nagtaka kami ni OTEP bakit ayaw sumunod ni kiper sa amin. :D
Pero infairness, parang malapad sya compared to other mini SUVs. Its size can be deceiving!

roydok,
bibili ka ba? no low gears, un lang ang problema. pero ung being stuck sa putik..kasama sa laro un..
Ungas,
AUTO -- for normal driving but engages the 4wd automatically if front wheels slips.
ON -- on na siya..hehe..off-road na..!!

kiper,
parang sabi yata sa magazine dati yung "ON" ng escape hindi parang center diff lock yung function... more like mas aggressive na AUTO.

May 20th, 2003 07:45 AM #10I did the 4x4 training of the ford people for the Escape, its not meant to be a serious off roader but its the only one in its class with a central difflock so sya ang pinaka off roadable among the small "Soft roaders" in europe they do put mud tires on it and take it on alpine trips.:D
I feel the same way. Not a fan.
