Aside from maintaining it reliably, no tips. Just live with the fuel consumption. You don't see people with Crossovers, Camries or Accords complaining naman...

Escape is not that bad..its a hard car.

2012 Ford Escape 2.3L. This is just a facelifted 04-07 model.

Pros:
+Naturally aspirated engine
+Easy to maintain. No turbo, not much electronics. Less parts that can break down.

Cons:
-No high tech gadgets
-Fuel consumption:
13 km/L - highway 80 kph constant, light footed
9 km/L - highway 100 kph aggressive overtaking and line changing
6 km/L - city, typical ortigas/makati/edsa traffic
