A nice little crossover. Ala Kia Soul of sorts... But looks much much better. And its global too, so it ain't a third world production only!

Heheheh. In the 2013 Ford Escape thread, someone said it looked like a Tucson. Sikat na ang mga Koreano. Maybe someday, someone somewhere will look at a foreign made car and say, "It looks like a Sarao." lol
Back on topic. Looks like India is becoming the testing ground for sub-compact SUVs or CUVs: Why Ford’s EcoSport launch is significant for India | Firstpost. Ah, the luck of the emerging markets, especially one with 1 billion people.
In the Phils, I think the EcoSport is more likely to be more successful than Suzuki's SX4 or Jimny, simply because it's a Ford. Interesting to see how this emerging segment will turn out when Mazda also comes in with the CX-5.

Yeah but unlike the Jimny that looks like a third world vehicle, this one looks nice. Panglaban nila sa Kia Soul pero feeling ko mas magaling sa presyuhan ang Ford.

Di kaya maging ganito ang final showroom version (or lower trim version)? Baka top-end model lang yung TRON headlights version.

Nearly Global, since unlike the Soul, it won't be sold in North America.
I think Europe hasn't been confirmed yet, but they're initially targeting emerging markets.
"The vehicle will expand Ford's presence in Brazil, India, ASEAN markets and others to be announced at a later time, with world-class technology and quality, sharing the new B-class platform which is expected to sell more than 2 million units by mid-decade"
- Ford Press Release
According to a Motor Trend article "The new Ford EcoSport launches mid-year in Brazil, followed later by the Asian markets."

I think the EcoSport is an interesting B-segment Crossover. Would probably look good in "Tonka" yellow. :D
The outgoing EcoSport has a 4WD option, I hope the new one gets it too.

After the release of the Buick Encore, I don't believe it doesn't have chances to be also offered in North America. As far as the European market goes, it's nearly an obvious replacement to the current European Ford Fusion, which current Brazilian-made Ecosport is based.

The B-Max is the tall hatch/MPV replacement of the euro Fusion.
Ford will unveil the production version of its B-Max ‘compact multi-activity vehicle’ at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.
A small MPV set to replace the aging Fusion, the Ford B-Max features sliding side doors to aid access to the rear seats.
Agree with you there. Nicely put.
