The transmission issue? Could be a glitch in the system. The rotary dial has no direct connection to the tranny. It's right beside the cupholders though so very prone to spillage. The complaint also came from another dealer group. Ford's dealers vary widely between owners. The first dealer we went to nagtutulakan pa mga ahente kung sino na daw ang next. The dealer we got our unit from pagpasok pa lang may agent na agad offering drinks.
Natawa lang ako that the engine is based on the Mitsubishi 4g15 that powered the Singkits and Itlogs. I had a 4g92 Itlog so medyo may connect pa din.
Aircon issues. Got the car late 2017. Replaced evaporator and expansion valve 2021. Replaced expansion valve again 2024.
My brother-in-law also had to replace the compressor and evaporator of his 2016 Forester in less than 5 years of ownership. Sadly he did not have time to have it done outside the casa so the bill reached 6 figures in total.
True. I had a cruise control issue where it would blink and stop responding after around an hour in traffic. I brought it to MI on a hot summer day and the SA said it could have been caused by slippery wet conditions while staring at the blinking symbols on the dash.

March 25th, 2024 11:47 AM #94Congrats! Tumgal nga sana. Mits.

March 25th, 2024 04:30 PM #97I wonder if Subaru changed suppliers. My 17 year old AC was serviced for the first time earlier this year since it lost cold. All they had to do was recharge it and replace some o-rings. I had the evaporator cleaned out since the system was depressurized anyways, but everything was in great shape (even the evap fins, aside from being caked in fine dust).

Possible. Subaru has been struggling with quality issues in the past few years even in the US. We were totally disappointed kasi ang taas ng tingin namin sa Subaru tapos Made in Japan pa.
Thankfully di na inabot sa head gasket or ring land issues.
Good job keeping your Subie in good condition. Nakasakay ako sa 1990s Legacy Wagon more than 10 years ago and solid talaga sya.Last edited by JohnM; March 25th, 2024 at 05:10 PM.

I've met quite a few who've moved from Ford to Subaru. I have not met anyone yet who've gone the opposite direction.
I'm sure you took your time picking a replacement for your XV and I think you made a good choice. Hope your Territory outlasts your XV.
