February 1st, 2006 02:20 PM #9cantinetta at pasong tamo ext - their angus beef is flown chilled from the US, not frozen; kaya lang hindi ito fine dining. but if you're eating there, don't miss out on ordering the cream of mushroom soup and the risotto. sobrang sarap!
fire lake grill at the cliffhouse in tagaytay (beside yellow cab pizza) - cooked exactly the way you want it; trust me you're going to love this one. if you ask me, one of the best steaks i've ever tasted. chef huang is incredible! semi fine dining
gulliver's of san francisco at makati ave - mas masarap actually ang gulliver's dito sa maynila kaysa sa gulliver's sa san francisconot fine dining though
antonio's tagaytay (the main antonio's resto) - cooked in virgin olive oil, yum! not fine dining either though
*sabi nila, prince albert daw in makati is a good steak place. fine dining pa. kaya lang, i haven't personally eaten there. i suppose i have to save up for it
**btw, the absolute best steak i've tasted, was certified angus grilled by my friend rengie at his house in valle 6. this guy is a steak specialist. the medium well is exactly medium well. (btw, he, on the other hand, eats his steak absolutely rare.)

Melo's, if we're not talking about price.
If you want a cheaper alternative, try Bianca's in Makati around reposo area, the street is perpendicular to south super highway... (sorry di ko matandaan exact location details)
