yung owner ng Reyes BBQ used to work at Aristocrat. Alin mas masarap: Aristocrat or Reyes BBQ?

mas gusto ko pa nga yung inasal chicken sa Inasal Chicken Bacolod...

Mang inasal now majority owner of Jollibee? dapat di binigay ng owner yung majority of shares nito sa Jollibee!

Actually it depends on the person.

It is possible for some people not to sell out (if they have secured their finances).

But in this case, if it was me, I would have sold as well.

Depends on where you are in the business. If you can't get any bigger, sell out before the decline, while the business is worth something.

Even if the business will not decline, if your children aren't that interested in the running of the company, squabbling and/or disagreement amongst them can ruin it in the future (look at what happened to the Barrio Fiesta empire). Very few family businesses survive the second and third generations.

If I remember right, it was also Pancake House. Not sure, though.

Sia was already a billionaire prior to this... By tripling his worth, he couldn't refuse... That's human nature... That's Wall Street nature!

What worries me is that sooner or later there will be no more niche players because big business buys them out and spewing out commercialized goodies. I was a former classmate of Injap Sia, and I was able to talk to him, he still retains 30% of his shareholdings plus several branches are still under his control. May niluluto lang ata na plano si Injap Sia. Who knows maybe he'll someday own Jollibee na rin. He is a very shrewd businessman for a guy 35 years of age.
