Hey guys, any feedback on Royal Purple Oil? It seems to be in the same price range as Motul H100. I wonder, does it give the same protection, and performance as the similarly priced Motul? And would there be Royal Purple's for diesel?

based dito sa test ibig ba sabihin eh mas maraming napasang tests yun 10W-40 compare sa 10W-30? so mas maganda ang 15W-40 dahil mas marming tests na pumasa?

Speedyfix,
My subaru forester is due for its first 1,600 km oil change in MI. They recommend that we use Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 which they are using. But since it's expensive (P750/liter), they allow you to bring your own oil (subject to P50 corkage fee). If I choose to get Royal Purple, which product do you recommend?

May 7th, 2010 08:29 AM #10nvidi.turion, wala pa nga sa visayas... Royal Purple only makes fully synthetic lubricants. it doesn't make mineral or semi syn oils. so any RP product you buy is sure to be fully synthetic.
jmpet626, depends on your milage, anything from 10w30-10w40 is ok. we use Vic filters.
wranglerboy, thanks for passing by the shop!seeya after 10k kms!
mucho, the oil is still 550/quart. we only have quarts now and the gallons are out of stock but same price lang naman sya. most synthetics nga are group 3 base stocks. iilan lang sa philippines yung group 4 and above. 5w40 is ok naman as long as it's diesel rated.
reijan, 5w30 or 10w30 is fine for your car.
cal16, RP only has a 20w50 viscosity. it's fine to use if the milage is high but your engine will run better with a slightly thinner 40 viscosity.
powerloord, for n/a foresters most customers us the 5w30 viscosity, but if you want to be close to what MI recommends then any of the 40 viscosities are ok. we have the specific 5w40 but it retails for 690 and not the normal 550/quart.
exsior1111, either the 10w40 or 20w50 will do. depends din what you were using before.
weszt, sorry... we don't deliver oil. 10w30 nga yung dapat gamitin.
