Diesel Injector Cleaner, necessary?

Everytime I have PSM sa casa Toyota for my Fortuner 2016 Diesel A/T, they would always include this Toyota Diesel Injector Cleaner. Sabi nila, our diesel here in the Philippines is dirty so every PMS maganda daw na magpakarga din daw ng injector cleaner... Is this so?

My friend once told me...

He uses the cheapest unleaded fuel from Shell.

Pero twice a year, when he goes out of town, he fills it up with V-Power (full tank) tapos regular fuel na ulit once maubos yung V-Power.

IMO, "Injector Cleaners" are the cheapest thing na pwede mo ilagay sa car mo to clean the injectors.

With modern fuels, it is not required.

Pero wala naman sigurong mawawala kung minsan minsan lang.

I have never used injector cleaners. None of our current vehicles ranging from year model 1997 to 2017 have ever shown a need for them. My suki mechanic has never recommended it either. Besides, with fuel standards currently at Euro 4, I believe it should be clean enough.

What I have used is the Revive Turbo Cleaner. While the name may sound like some sort of scam, Central Diesel, a reputable Bosch diesel center, offers it. It is a chemical that is sprayed through the air intake which will then proceed to the turbo, into the engine, and out the exhaust, cleaning everything in its way. I've had it done on three of our cars and can attest to its effectivity, which is especially apparent on older, high mileage vehicles.

nung una sir, hindi ako naniniwala sa injector cleaners. testing ko yung Liqui Moly Diesel Purge sa old school hilux namin. laking improvement sa fuel consumption, dating 9 km/l, naging 12 to 13 km/l.

half tank ng caltex diesel tapos salin yung 500ml diesel purge.

more than 1yr na, pareho pa din fuel consumption. current odometer reading ng hilux ngayon mga nasa 400350 ata, nag lagay ako ng diesel purge nung nasa 360000 kms.
