Cleaning Fuel Tank and FIlter Solved Power Loss in Innova Diesel

Hi,
I have finally discovered the reason for power loss in my Innova diesel - the culprit is clogged fuel filter INSIDE the fuel tank. Of course you should make sure your fuel filter in the fuel pump is clean.
I've had long standing power loss or low power in my Innova D4D diesel van. I had my injectors cleaned, replaced the SCV valve, etc. I have also been using the Shell VPower diesel to improve power but cleaning the fuel tank made all the difference. Somebody recommended cleaning of the fuel tank which I had done at a local Shell gas station for P750.00. Try this as a first resort if your car has run many thousands of kilometers or you use gas stations that may have dirty fuel..

What is the procedure done in cleaning your fuel tank?

dapat hindi ma clog ang filter sa fuel tank.. kase hindi "fine" ang filter media doon... malalaking dumi lang na trap doon.
usually nakaktakas ang maliit na dumi sa "in-tank" fuel filter at sa fuel filter sa engine bay mag-trap..

kapag nabarahan ang fuel filter doon sa fuel tank, grabe ka-dumi ang pinagkakargahan mo sir na gas station....dahil malalaking particles ang babara.

Actually I have cleaned my Corolla's fuel tank as well. After many years of use, a fine layer of "mud" accumulates in the fuel tank. If you happen to run your car past the "empty" fuel level, your car might pick up more of the mud into the in-tank filter resulting in clogging. To remove the mud, the tank has to be removed from the car and flushed out.

aw.. uu nga pala... meh bacteria na naggo-grow sa diesel containers..
kaya meh mga fuel additives that kills the bacteria in the fuel lines kase dumidikit sila at nag a-agglomerate...

lage ba sir ginagamit yung innova nyo?
o nasa malamig kayong area?

*P750.00 i will make cleaning of the fuel tank a regular thing ... say every other year. as long as the method does not entail operating/re-welding the fuel tank.
