August 15th, 2009 07:03 PM #1Hey all.
Tanong ko lang sana where's a good place in the San Juan/Mandaluyong area that can properly remove the front bumper, replace stock horns and add electrical harness to my car.
Got a quote from speedyfix, 500 labor plus 300 for relay/harness = 800. Parang mahal eh.
Planning to install a set of Stebel Magnums on my car (current gen Civic), but kelangan pa kasi ibaba yung bumper. Magnums also come with a relay, so I suppose it's there so we can use it.
Would there be adverse effects if I choose to just replace the stock horns and leave it without relays? I'd like to stick to as close as stock in terms of electricals kasi para walang problema.
Thanks
(Mods, please move if this is sitting in the wrong subforum)

So I thought na agapan ko nalang yung problem by going to a shop that really knows what they are doing.
If I already have a shop in mind before I leave the house, that would be the best.

Just go to those decent looking shops and have their resident electrician install it for you. You could try out Cartronix. It's just across Fe Del Mundo hospital. Suki na namin 'yon for horns for magnums lol.

Siningil was Php300 din ata.
No idea sa San Juan. I can't blame Speedyfix, his prices are industry standard naman and maganda rin ang gawa nila. Plus you don't have to go through the hassle of driving to and from Banawe (tipid gas and time).

August 15th, 2009 11:53 PM #6I asked my SA sa honda - they will install the horn naman for a fee. Kung malapit lang yung presyo, I think might just have them do it nalang on my next maintenance schedule. Anyone think this is a decent idea?

Not too thrilled.

August 16th, 2009 10:25 AM #8Hm. Mukhang mahirap yung decision either way. :/
Bahala nalang siguro kung saan ako magpakabit when I have the time.
Thanks for the replies thus far

August 21st, 2009 05:16 PM #9Update nalang.
Had it done in one of the shops along T Morato. Forgot which one, but its very near the corner to E.Rodriguez.
They really specialize in electricals.
Paid mga PHP550. All-in na (labor, parts, etc). Ni tip ko nalang yung installer ng 50. From what I observed (binantayan ko nung kinakabit), magaling naman yung pagkagawa.
Hope this can help others din.

Wizard iyan, I think. Yep, ok naman sila.
Kailangan talaga i-force ang bumper clips minsan. Kasi yung lock nila is interference based (or base sa pwersa) hehehe.
