ang disadvantage ng portable VOM is di mo siya pwede imonitor kung nasa biyahe ka na... unlike yang permanent, anytime ka tumingin, humahataw ka sa highway, o stuck sa traffic, mamomonitor mo talaga kung maganda ang karga ng alternator mo... dapt maintained kasi ung 13.5v-14.5v kahit na full load upang maiwasang madrain ang battery mo...lalo na kung naka av setup ride mo...

June 24th, 2006 11:24 PM #18for proper monitoring, dont you need 2 volt meters? 1 for battery to make sure it can still sustain the 12v, and 1 for the alternator, to make sure that it is delivery enough voltage to charge the battery.
