January 23rd, 2014 03:13 PM #12Kapag mag install ng Big 3 Grounding Kit ay di na kailangan galawin or mag add ng wire sa +Alternator or +Bat. Ground wire lang idagdag. Kaya nga tinawag na Grounding Wire Kit.
Hwag galawin yun +Alt wires. Ang important malagyan ng Ground Wire ay yun - Alt Terminal na katapat ng +Alt terminal. In between sa kanila yun white connector sa picture mo.
Tunaw yun wire diyan.Last edited by Chinoi; January 23rd, 2014 at 03:17 PM.

January 24th, 2014 10:45 PM #14sa BIG 3 included ung +ALT to +BAT.
sa 5-POINT, 6-POINT or 7-POINT GROUNDING KITS, puro GROUND points naman ang target.
example of BIG 3..
(1) -BAT to CHASSIS
(2) -BAT to -ALT (Mounting Bolt/Bracket connected to ENGINE BLOCK)
(3) +BAT to +ALT
Alternator Wiring
The ALTERNATOR BODY is both a GROUND and a heat sink. If you place your hand on an alternator bracket, you'll probably notice it feels warmer than other accessory brackets; heat from the diodes flows through the alternator body and into the bracket, which helps to absorb and dissipate the heat like a radiator. In the same way, electrical current from the battery flows through the ENGINE BLOCK into the BRACKET and, thus, into the ALTERNATOR. The positive output wire from the rectifiers connects to the battery's positive terminal, closing the circuit and keeping it charged.
"R" terminal is for the IGNITION switch.

Salamat sa info sir red_one. Best way is to let a professional automotive electrician to identify which is which. Siguro have some opinions na rin while im at it. For now, tama na muna yung mga grounding points since i have already cleaned out some of the engine compartment dust and grime. Battery still at 13.something volts and did a test drive and i noticed na medyo naging maganda yung idle at di nag fli flicker yung lights sa gauges ko even with headlights on and stereo.

January 25th, 2014 09:25 PM #19So yung encircled sa part sa picture ko is yung alternator positive kasi may rubber insulation ito around the bolt that goes inside the alt case then yung may mark na "R" pwede kong kabitan ng ground wire connected sa battery negative. Tama ba.
Para sa akin ang Big 3 Grounding connection ay:
1. -Bat and -Alt. For better charging of Battery, better dc voltage for engine electricals and Brighter Headlamp.
2. -Bat to Distributor casing or Cylinder Head. For better Ground connection to drive Ignition Coil. Resulting better spark voltage.
3. -Bat to Starter Mounting Bolt. For 1 click start of Starter. Starting current was very high ampere and needs very good grounding wire connection to avoid voltage drop.
Note: Purpose of Grounding wire was to avoid loose connection or voltage drop.
Do not removed original ground wires. Big 3 Ground was only for add on wire for old electrical of car.Last edited by Chinoi; January 25th, 2014 at 09:37 PM.
The 12-month warranty on the factory battery ended a few days ago. SOH is still good at over 90%,...
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
