Review: Maxus G50 1.5T Premium DCT | TopGear PH
The G50, with its suspension issues and occasionally iffy DCT, isn’t perfect. That said, this is an MPV still worth checking out. Driving performance is decent enough, and its polish is up to par, if not better, compared with more established offerings in its segment. What’s more, the space it offers and its ability to seat up to eight people make this vehicle worth recommending to larger families looking for a ride on a budget.

New Maxus G50 Comfort priced at PHP 948k | Autoindustriya
The Comfort is only available with a smaller 1.3-liter turbocharged three-cylinder mill. Despite having one less cylinder and a smaller displacement, the engine actually makes an impressive 163 PS at 5500 rpm along with 230 Nm of torque at 1800 – 4400 rpm. Compared to the 1.5-liter turbo, the smaller motor is only short 6 PS and 20 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
