Ang nilolookdown daw is yung GCR. Pakita pa dun price ng Wigo at Raize vs price ng GCR.
Sino kayang mga toyota owners nito.
Mostly sa mga nambabash daw sa Geely nila is mga Toyota owners.

So for the record, as of now, are Geely vehicles pieces of crap or not? Or is it merely issues with the services and parts availability?

who here will/can say that their car is perfect?
My wife and I drive a 2019 Honda City (less than 20K kms sa Odo) and 2021/22 Vespa Primavera and I can tell you small complains/imperfections about the vehicles na hindi kaya ayusin ng dealership.
Would I be happier if we bought a Vios/NMAX/PCX/ADV? - my sister had a 2019 Vios and I also have complains...
My colleagues use Japanese branded scooters and they also have complains...
IMO, just buy the most expensive car you can afford that meets your personal requirement.

August 31st, 2023 11:40 AM #47Well, basing on the article from AI, it is really an after sales issue + (present) upper management related decision that have snowballed to the current situation.
If you end up buying one, you (presently) have to hope you have no major replacement of parts issue to deal with.
For my personal experience right now with Nissan, I understand my sedan, 2014 Sylphy was a low volume seller from the very beginning. I recently had my CVTF changed but also needed to have the CVT Filter replaced as it could not be cleaned. I immediately confirmed the order for new CVT Filter within 6 hours as I also helped to call the other dealers under Autohub if they had on stock as Fastfinity didn't have it on stock. On the same day, Nissan NE called Nissan PH and they had 1 on stock. I confirmed in the afternoon, bad luck it was a holiday on monday Aug 21. Tuesday rolled in, no confirmation of arrival of filter. Wednesday got update, there was only 1 CVT Filter for the Sylphy on stock from Nissan PH and another dealer confirmed the order before Nissan North Edsa. Just bad luck in timing.
Yesterday, Nissan NE managed to get a hold of a CVT Filter outside the dealer network. This was the second to last resort, as the last resort would be waiting for air freight to arrive for that filter.
So, in this instance, do I fault Nissan PH for the lack of stocks for the CVT Filter? Or, did I know the risk buying the Sylphy back in 2014 that it wouldn't sell as well as the Altis or Civic? That's the mindset I had. Just for info.
Per autohub group and Fastfinity (Nissan NE) they do try to clean the CVT Filter if it is possible, but Nissan NE tried and it was too gunked up already and I would risk dirtying the new CVTF with the gunk causing future issues just by not replacing the filter. Hehe!
I still do not have the car with me but I should be getting it today after they have it aligned (separate issue that needed parts replacement first since 4 years ago that I kept on deferring)

The coolray is much cheaper than a Territory or a Kicks while offering more "features," I guess the mantra of "you get what you pay for" still stands. They can still improve the same way Korean cars started getting better 15-20 years ago and now Hyundais and Kias are the same price as their Japanese and American counterparts.

Funny talaga itong geely issue
Kaya nag viral ito coz every coolray skeptic in PH was waiting for something like this to arise
Kasi there were many positive things said about the coolray di matanggap ng mga hater
So eto lumabas all the skeptics felt vindicated
But is geely ph dealer going away?
They gonna wind down the business?
I don't think so

At most, its probably just reduced sales. Let's wait for the Q3 and Q4 sales number this year.
May nakita ako sa isang GC na sinalihan ko, nagbebenta siya ng kanyang 2022 Coolray. Reason for selling, need cash daw hehe. Parang timing naman kung kelan lumabas yung viral video, doon din niya naisip magbenta.
