This is why I'm personally not confident in purchasing Chinese cars (except for Maxus which is locally distributed by the Ayala Group)

I've seen a "Changan thread" as early as 2005, another thread in 2013 and 2019. I've seen a van (or 2) on local roads.

But I personally didn't know they left (PH) and was surprised to see this morning's news that they're "re-entering" the local market under CMPI

Chinese carmaker Changan is back in the Philippines, and it’s re-entering the market with no less than five new models. This time around, the brand will be distributed by Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI), managed by the same leaders who brought in Hyundai to the Philippines.
