IMHO its for safety reasons and plain common sense.
Stay safe people.

July 13th, 2006 01:04 AM #53hmm... just noticed this one last night sa maharlika highway.
i was cruisin down the road tapos nakasunod ako sa truck. gusto kong mag-overtake sa truck pero nung pagsilip ko sa left, may headlight akong nakita, so i expected na may kasalubong, and bumalik ako sa likod ng truck. after a few seconds, sumilip uli ako, nandun pa rin yng headlights.
nung malapit na ako sa kanya, naka-park pala cya sa shoulder and the driver is buying something at a nearby sari-sari store.
he probably put that headlight there for the sole reason of deterring overtakers

I shut it off minsan pag naka stop if my eyes are sore. May fog lights naman ako e so may ilaw pa din. I'd prefer the car at the back of me to close their lights too. If there are no cars in front of me pag naka stop then i just leave it open.

Ganun pala yun mabilis pala mapupundi yung bulb kapag ganun..Have to change my habit...
