February 12th, 2019 10:23 AM #1Landers updated the discounts for their Caltex Stations, sabi nila via text diesel now at 4php per liter, and gas at 7php per liter.
Pero kahit ganun, for me, yung discount sa SnR Unioil mas okay kasi any Unioil branch unlike sa Landers, Caltex lang nila.
Second, yung price ng fuel sa Landers, if you compare sa mga katabi lang niya along the same road na gas station, mas mataas na agad so for me, talo ka na agad, binawian ka lang nila sa fuel discount mo.
Unlike Unioil, my variation.
Landers, main benefit is yung libreng gupit sa member. ahaha!

^nope you can mix octane ratings as long as you dont go below specifications
If your car engine is rated 95 (that means 95 and above)
Mixing 91 on a 95 rated engine will be detrimental
If your engine is something like skyactiv and the manual stated 91 ONLY then stick to it. The only drawback is if the filling station runs out of it

Some designs are flexible others are stringent
Flexible offers more fuel choices
Strict designs are limited so when that particular fuel is out, the owner is left with no choice but to walk even if there are other fuel options available

Same here, just looked at the figures without opening the file, the fuel economy improvement is "equalized" by the higher cost of premium gas. And if there is truth to what I heard that higher octane gas dissipates faster, then an ordinary driver like me who uses a full tank for 3 weeks, then as Doc says, it becomes negligible to me and probably a huge percentage of drivers here.

S&R-Unioil discount tie up sucks. I try to time my fuel up in Governors Drive, either Caltex in Carmona & lately Unioil GMA since I frequent these areas. Unioil has this discount for S&R cardholders & when I tried refuelling in that station, S&R was off line again. This was actually the third time it happened to me in this branch. Is this a regular occurence even in in other stations? I am starting to think that promo is just to entice people to fuel there but S&R deliberately shuts it down.

November 16th, 2021 08:20 PM #9It might be the gas station itself only.
Ive exclusively used unioil snr to top up, its been years since that happened, usually happened during the start of the roll out of the discounts during the first 2 years.
Might be the station itself just saying it is offline or they are relying on mobile internet thats why the connection is spotty.
Even the newly opened unioil in my area doesnt have an issue (so far) when i tried to top up.
Im qc based, but ive tried even their bataan station and no connection issue with snr terminal for the discount

Last Sunday offline din sa Guadalupe, first time ko na encounter.
Pinagawa sakin, sign up na lang dun sa app/loyalty card nila for P4/liter discount sa 97RON. Nag earn ng points yun and free yung app/card.
Napaisip ako kung mag renew pa ako ng S&R next year. Mas mura kase yung P4/liter discount in the end plus nag earn ka pa ng points.
If purely for City driving then get the Emax7. since you already have other cars for longer drives....
