August 18th, 2010 11:56 PM #93Anyone who's tried this one? Does it have any significant effects on the vehicle's performance compared to when its running on regular diesel? What's its price per liter?

August 19th, 2010 09:41 PM #94Meron na dito sa Petron, Katipunan Ave., QC, the gas boy is quoting a higher cetane rating compared to the normal one (2% difference daw). That's a P4/L or additional na P200+/full tank for my ford trekker. Have not tried it yet, but I do want to find out the difference chemistry-wise. Will ask pa if the labs in our neighborhood can do this.

nag pa fill-up ako kanina sa white plains, bale 30 liters 50/50 with regular diesel para masubukan lang. 4 pesos more vs.regular diesel. sa tinigin ko clear sya with a green tint. not as green as unleaded gas (litaw parin pag ka clear nya) ala vodka mix. its more clear than green. ano kaya reason sa color nya, less sulphur? it also kinda smells more of chemrez biodiesel additive.
tapos hataw sa white plains ave to edsa, wala difference sa performance.
long term plans ko sa premium diesels mapa ano brand, city driving regular diesel lang coz masunog lang naman sa trapik e di yun mura na. pag provincial trips mas prefer ko if ever ito premium. if proven true i'm using cleaner and more powerful diesel fuel. sana may real world power and better emissions.
note; hindi crdi d-max pickup ko.Last edited by kurt; August 19th, 2010 at 09:48 PM.

tried this fuel last week. I was running low and sakto sa petron mckinley ako nagpa-gas. I always use petron's regular diesel pero nung nakita ko itong bago, despite the P4.00 difference, i tried it out of my curiosity and had a full tank of it.
As far as I am concerned, there was a SLIGHT improvement in the speed and performance in my 3 year old crd-i pick-up. I was making better speeds at lower rpms. When I am not in a hurry, I usually drive around 1800 to 2200 rpm. It was at that rpm range that I noticed I was moving faster with the new premium diesel as compared to the regular diesel of petron. as to the emissions, mahirap tingnan ang tambutso habang nagdadrive, so I leave that question to the vehicle behind me.
as to the mileage, hindi na ako nag-compute kasi i am no longer using stock tires and air filters. the value would be misleading to most.
My daily commute btw is Sucat-BGC-Alabang (via SLEX & C5).
Is the P4 difference justified for the slight improvement in the performance? i am not so sure. But if the technical people here in tsikot will say that the engine of my pick-up will last longer if I switch to this premium diesel, i guess the price difference aint that bad after all.

August 20th, 2010 03:02 PM #100ok sya, malaking difference, the innova mag lalabas ng usok pag binirit from 3rd gear to 4th gear (a/t) in a regular diesel pero dito sa turbo diesel walang usok, tahimik na engine ng d4d nabawasan pa after lagyan ng turbo diesel ,
Don't think about other brands anymore, just go with Amaron. It lasts minimum 5 yrs+ parati, I just...
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
