so far spent 100k (pesos) on maintenance. :P

depends din kasi on the brand. mazda yung sa akin. mazda is not as reliable as toyota or honda. pero the 323 should be cheaper to maintain. siguro yung 111k na yung mileage ng 323 na yan mga 50k minimum ang gagastusin mo to fix it.

    things to replace offhand:

    1) timing belt, tensioner and idler bearings
    2) clutch parts (both internal and external, i.e. clutch master, slave)
    3) water pump
    4) entire suspension
    5) other belts
    6) the alternator and AC compressor are probably on the way out
    7) power steering pump may need a repair kit
    8) the power window motors will probably die soon
    9) your brakes will soon be going.. calipers are expensive, also the brake master might be leaky or require repair

it's not the car per se, it's the mileage. mataas na mileage equals lots of expenditures. can't avoid that.
Hi Orly, thanks a lot. Its actually a MS 97, ang worry ko lang ung mileage na 111t na. Price tag nya rin kasi asa 200t (neg) pa. If ever nde nya pa yan napalitan, big chance i can get it lower pa. Or, just find another one. And the thing is, ang hirap mag hanap well, i guess i just have to wait again if things wont work out.

    What can you suggest?

i think ok na yung price na yun (200k for a 97 MS). pero makakababa pa yan i've seen 160k na 97.
pero hindi MS. what do you get with the MS anyway? just a body kit and strut bar. (oh and those shocks)

yeah at that mileage dapat napalitan na most on the list. pero kung hindi pa napalitan.. ikaw sasagot nun.

cruven/zee can repair naman the MS adjustable shocks. so mga 6k lang gastos diyan. a new set would cost 15k plus and hindi pa yun adjustable..
