just between the two which do you prefer?
from what I see (been to both toyota and suzuki to check out the cars) and they are pretty much on equal terms:
gas mileage
size
features
price (A/T yaris vs AT swift)
the only difference is the yaris does not have a 60/40 split on the rear seats. any opinions? any comments on the comfort/drivability of the two?

The Swift steers better, possibly handles better at the limit.
The Yaris feels like it has a bit more torque.
The Yaris's rear seat doesn't fold 60/40, but it reclines. I'd say it's more than a fair trade-off, the rear seat is very comfortable.
Other than that, not much to differentiate the two, except for looks, and that's personal preference. ;)

styling-wise, i like the Swift better.
IMO, the longer i stare at the Yaris... it starting to look odd. especially when dressed up. i like it stock. while the swift looks sportier stock or modified.

swift din ako, sinubukan once sa showroom, maluwag sa loob even for a big guy like me. tsaka mas gusto ko styling ng swift.
still don't get it... why is the meter cluster in the middle in the yaris.

September 3rd, 2007 05:00 AM #6i am inclined to Swift pero i have not heard about the realibility of the local ones as well the service of the casa....toyota kasi medyo okay na ang reputasyon ng casa and the toyota engine on the yaris is more stable.

Between the two,- I'd go for the Swift. It's styling is a lot different than anything in the field.
