April 15th, 2007 03:59 PM #16For a more objective assessment of the two vehicles, I suggest looking at this site:
http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/c...507_suv_ov.htm
Hope this would make this forum more informative and less emotional. I still root for the Forester because of the good handling, Mercedes-like ride as described in the March 2007 issue of C-Magazine, where they picked the Forester as its top 5-passenger compact SUV. Never fails me in a stop-light drag, especially on 2nd gear...

April 16th, 2007 12:28 AM #17If compared with the Forrester Turbo, I think I'd still go for the Outlander.
Outlander looks nicer in and out (subjective), better ground clearance, more spacious interior, and cheaper by almost 200k.
The Forrester will probably have better handling and feel but its not everything I guess.

April 16th, 2007 12:55 AM #18For me it doesn't matter
As I've said in my earlier post, wala pa rin laban ang new CR-V sa mga ito.
Noisy and high-vibrating 2.4 liter variant (using the old-school K24A engine), no standard 4WD/AWD on lower variants and the "slushbox" doesn't have manual mode (yet the Forester and New Outlander have these as standard equipment)
Worst part is that the bucktooth grill is damn fugly.
The CR-V is gonna be a boring vehicle for me (like it predecessor models)

overall, i'd probably still pick the Forester XT over the Outlander, but the Outlander's 6-Speed Sportronic transmission with paddle shifters and 650 watts Rockford Fosgate sound system sure are ***y.

If only they had the Mitsubishi Airtrek Turbo (outlander) here in the US i would have bought that over the Fozzie. Still i like 'em both newer and older versions
