Nothing beats brand new...get one if you can afford it. Dont worry too much of wings and dings or bumps in the car, you just have to be carefull, its always the norm in driving. IMO bumps are unavoidable, its bound to happen becuase you use the car, if you want to prevent it dont take it out of the garrage...just my 2 cents.
The celerio looks nice, why dont you take a look at the swift as well.

October 15th, 2009 10:33 PM #24I'd suggest that you go for the brand new A/T car.
- Walang hassle sa paperwork. Search tsikot dun sa process ng pag transfer ng 2nd hand car, parang ang haba and ang dami mong gov't agency na kausap (well, 2 lang yata. Pero mas gusto ko yung wala. Hahaha) Casa na maglalakad nung papers mo, and 3 yrs pa registration for brand new cars.
- Warranty. 3 yrs na yata uso ngayon. So in theory, 3 years kang walang problema pag may nasira sa mga covered items.
Yung discussion about damages, I think pareho lang naman feeling pag nadamage yung kotse. Kahit 2nd hand or brand new, pareho lang nakakahinayang yun. Lalo na at unang kotse mo yun, so kahit 2nd hand bilhin mo, bagong bili mo parin yun.
Pero I would suggest that you buy an A/T for convenience and a faster learning curve. Pero as soon as A/T ginamit niya, ang bilis niyang nakapag drive mag isa. I think malaking tulong na maka concentrate ka sa steering wheel, other cars, and pedestrians pag hindi mo na iniintindi yung pag coordinate ng clutch at kambyo. (In case gusto niya mag manual, I think madali lang din dahil instinct na niya yung steering, tapos sa clutch and gearshift naman ang concentration niya).
Good luck!

For a new driver, its adviseable na bili muna ng decent 2nd hand car, but because of the recent flooding, sigurado flooded din ang 2nd hand market ng nabahang sasakyan. Go for brand new na..

Saan po yun auto show at kailan?
Yes, the Celerio is the replacement for the current Alto. It is also known as A-Star or Alto in other countries.
Mag Suzuki Celerio ka na lang. Mas OK ang mga features.
Picanto is over-priced for a small car.
Also look at: Hyudai i10 and Hyundai Getz.before deciding.
NO to second hand cars. Just as everyone said, INGAT SA MGA NABAHANG AUTO. Kasi kung mag second hand ka...every time you see someone driving your dream car, Celerio, you would just wish you bought it, which is unhealthy for your well being. So buy what you crave for specially if money is not a hindrance...life is short...enjoy it while you're young.

Hi jeygee! I recommend you to get a brand new car either a Picanto/Celerio or Hyundai i10.
These cars have A/T variants so you won't have a problem.
I assessed your driving skills plus your budget and I therefore conclude that you should buy a brand new car either of the 3 choices. Why?
1) You are new to automotive industry, with a brand new vehicle, all you need is minimal maintenance like change oil, cleaning of car etc.
2) After at least 2 straight weeks of driving, siguro naman gagaling ka na nun sa driving.By the time na na-realize mong magaling ka na, manghihinayang ka na sana brand new na ang binili mong car.
Nope, Celerio or A-Star 1000cc as known in Europe and India (makers of Maruti-Suzuki cars) ay iba sa Alto na 800cc so hindi ito ang papalit.

October 16th, 2009 11:41 AM #29Hello guys, this is Jeygee once again.
Salmat sa lahat ng advices. My mom and I talked it through, and we decided to just get me a brand new Celerio. Nakipagusap nadin ako sa isang dealer, she gave me a breakdown nung expenses and okay na. I took the leap, automatic + brand new. I hope I'll be able to take care of it.
Nga pala, I took up a course at A1 nang manual transmission. I was able to learn yeah, pero pahirapan. I get confuse lage when to change gears. So I'm definitely an a/t person.
And, regarding celerio, does 1.0L Automatic sound good to you?
THANKS SO MUCH! You guys rock!

I would have preferred the i10 over the Celerio but nevertheless enjoy!
Will wonders never cease with Motolite? Ha ha.
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
