Yes, the two variant have different seats. For one, the materials in the GLS is a bit better. Also, rear seat headrest are fixed/immovable, the GLS has 5 individually adjustable headrest with 3-point ELR belts for every passenger. It's worth noting that the GLS rear seat folds 60/40 unlike the GLX which folds one whole piece. Coming from a CRV, you'd be more satisfied with the GLS than the GLX.

May 7th, 2013 11:46 AM #25your financier (dad) seems to be a conservative.. and since he doesn't seem to approve of the mirage... get the vios! and since it's about to be replaced, you may get some hefty discounts..
heh heh.

We had the same prob sir..
Sanay ako sa FD then I need a more efficient city car. Kasi it's for my wife naman. I wanted the Mirage badly kasi hindi ko na kelangan problemahin yung toys. hehe Pero we went for the Celerio, kasi proven na yung Fuel efficiency nya.. Ok naman yung safety features.. Mas maiksi pila.. And my wife seems to be happy with it..
Pero dahil CRV ka galing then downgrade ka sa maliit na auto.. My vote for you is the Mirage.. Though ok na ok yung Celerio, since gusto mo ang toys which the Mirage has, then go with the Mirage.. The new Celerio GA is not something that I can recommend.. I went with the GL variant.
Good luck on your purchase..

May 7th, 2013 11:09 PM #27youtube reviews say that the i10 is also very spacious inside and fun to drive. however, I just don't like how it looks on the outside. But looking at its features, it's quite good for a budget car.
hehe yup! he is quite the conservative type after all the money we spent on gas for the past year on my CRV. he did the numbers and he said that with the amount that we spend for my gas, he could add just a little more and he could buy me a more fuel efficient car.
I think he already likes the Mirage. I make a good sales agent! haha)
Sir, when was the time you inquired about the Mirage? I wonder if the waiting time for a new mirage is still painstakingly long..
Is the GL variant the black one? because the last time we went to Suzuki, they offered us a limited edition Celerio with alloy wheels and higher end features.

Well I've been waiting for my preferred color since March. I really just needed the fuel efficient car for my wife since she spends a lot of money on gas on my FD 2.0s. Her line of work is more on sales kasi, so she travels a lot daily. I first talked to Mitsubishi around December ata. Then I waited.. And waited.. And waited until March.. I talked to 3 dealerships din.. March, I really had to look for options na, I saw your 1st post that you checked the thread I started here.ahaha! And yun, I got her the Celerio, not as luxurious looking as the Mirage, but it fits her. Though I look gay when I'm using it (pink kasi), it's a really cool and efficient car. No regrets so far.
GL variant is the 2012 MT model. The 2013 model is the stripped Celerio GA, They took most of the comfort features out + ABS EBD. So basically it's as bare as you can imagine just to match the price of the Mirage. Pero I got what I wanted, my wife drives at 17km/l city driving before our 1st PMS, now she's at 18km/l.Pero keep in mind that our city "Lipa" is way too different than Manila.. ahahahha Light to mostly Moderate lang traffic dun.. Walang heavy traffic..
Go with what you really want, go with the Mirage, it's a good car, sir basti08 can attest to it. A lot of toys and all that. I might consider getting myself a Mirage if my next project fails. I wanna replace my FD na kasi with a newer car.
EDIT: Sorry sa wall of text

TS, start pa lang naman ng thread leaning towards Mirage ka na. So that's one thing you should consider in choosing a car, yung pagkagusto mo sa isang model. Mirage is definitely a good buy but like someone said here.. Mirage is like a Vios, a lot of guys have them. Unless you want to be different, you'd go for a different model. But then again follow your heart, you can never go wrong on a model you really like.
