Good choice. I owned a 98 space wagon for about 4 years and it is a decent car.

What I liked most was the space, the 2nd row seats are very comfortable, the 2nd and 3rd row seats can be fold flat, the 2nd row seats can be reclined and can slide.

I also enjoyed driving it. Suspension is stiff enough that there is minimal rolling and pitching. The 1.8 engine is competent enough to push its heavy body. Minsan sakit lang ng engine is erratic idling, although madali naman maayos. Fuel consumption is fair enough for its engine, around 6.5 - 9 km/l in moderate to heavy city traffic, and around 11-12 km/l in highway.


Mas mataas nga lang ang pa-rehistro nya, which is absurd for an old car. It costs around 8K each year, this already includes the smoke emission test and insurance.

The old 1.8 Spacewagon is one of my favorite old cars. Drives nice, is relatively light and is spacious.
