With regards to the corolla, I'm really not being biased since I own one too but I guess, as long as you maintain the vehicle and keep it in it's A1 condition, you really wouldn't have a problem.
On the rusting issues for the Civics however, you can somehow manage to avoid this for 3 - 5 years more. How ? Just park the vehicle inside your garage all the time, and have it detailed at least once a month.
But if you already bought one who has accumulated rust on the roof, better yet to have a complete washover at your reputable paint shop.

April 27th, 2010 11:32 AM #3Up to now it still remains a mystery to me.

October 6th, 2010 09:47 PM #8i have an old 97 na lxi... di ko mabitawbitawan kasi sobrang tipid... i dont use it that often anymore... pang coding lang kaso sa sobrang tipid and reliable, nakakapanghinayang na ibenta... i am in baguio, puro akyat baba, medyo mas manipis pa ang hangin kesa sa lowlands pero with the kind of terrain + traffic na nakakainis, i can still manage a 9.5-10km/l fuel consumption...
but the ride is quite stiff but handles great... corollas are softer though, very comfortable ride...

Last i was there sa Yokosuka ung summer nila tirik ang araw pero malamig, parang baguio saten. May epekto kc other elements, temp sa metal. Saka age na rin ng unit.
If purely for City driving then get the Emax7. since you already have other cars for longer drives....
