it's a very blandly designed car but very practical. It was plenty quick and mighty handler. It is light and just sips on gas. Accomodations are quite bare but as a transpo from A to B, it will satisfy most users.

97 model were only LX and EXi
Same engine, internals etc.
the LX model has AC, clarion stereo, and PS (not sure, di ko makita brochure ko), black bumpers, steel rims, no mudguards, no tach, MT only
the EX models adds: front power windows, 13" 5 spoke alloy wheels, tachometer, body colored bumpers and mudguards and also available in AT.

June 22nd, 2010 06:18 PM #9used to have both the old exi and type z variant. basically same cars except for the aesthetics. bad on noise insultation, small cabin, and has a heavy clutch. other than that, i can outrun most 1.6 and some 2.0 due to its power-weight ratio. plus the fc of course. never broke down too. but for a car that old, expect some rattles and worn out parts which is common to subcompacts at that time
Otoh, the 2nd gen mu-x slightly looks like a mazda up front and some interior bits as well but oto...
