- my wife prefers the look of the MS.
It really depends on the person in terms of the style preferences. I prefer the look of the Fort due to the hood scoop. Pero if may budget lang ngayon, hands down MS kukunin ko due to the new vgt. Actually kahit wala nun. Medyo mababa kasi talaga engine performance ng 2.5 Fort considering na commonrail na siya.

To revive this thread...
Ang safety ng isang sasakyan ay hindi nadadaan sa SAFETY FEATURES at CRASH TEST RESULTS.
Ang safety ng isang sasakyan ay nakasalalay sa DRIVER at sa KONDISYON NG SASAKYAN
So, your car may be 5 stars in the IIHS or in the EURO NCAP, but your driving style is so reckless, safety is useless.... Ever wonder there are people who die in car crashes in First world countries kahit 5 stars ang sasakyan??
Yes, anyone can be a safe driver. Konting disiplina lang at alaga sa sasakyan.
Question lang. Why is the Innova sold in UAE? The Fortuner in Singapore? Wherein fact their economies are much higher than ours.
No plans of bashing but just emphasizing my point.

Doesn't hurt to have better crash tests... Smart Driver + High Safety Standards is much better than Smart Driver with crappy safety standards... P10>P5 anytime of the day, week, or month! You are just relying on yourself I am relying on myself and technology at the same time. There will always be others who could cause accidents to you even if you are so careful...
Eh bakit wala sa US yung Fortuner at Innova aber? Or maskin sa more advanced Western European countries like Germany and the United Kingdom. The more advanced G7 countries? Eh hanggang UAE lang pala mga yan eh. Mga 2nd rate countries hahaha.

Feeling ko talaga mga pang Asia lang na vehicles hindi ginastusan ang safety research. Afterall car manufacturing is a business so as long as we can keep costs down while maintaining legal in the country where they operate eh di ok. Kasi wala namang government regulations in these Asian countries that they need a certain level of safety threshold. Unlike sa US and Western Europe may mga government agencies sila like NTHSA in the US or EuroNCAP in Western Europe na talagang may government madates and laws that vehicles have to pass a certain safety threshold before its allowed to be sold to the public. Eh dito sa Asia maskin rich countries like Singapore don't have any equivalent to those.
But its up to you naman... Maybe I am just too safety conscious but I guess it doesn't hurt to be too overly conscious in terms of safety...

October 1st, 2011 01:24 PM #119Agree, our crappy government couldn't careless to mandate laws to require ALL car manufacturers in the Philippines to install more Safety Devices on their cars like Side Curtain Airbags or Stability Control...
But both of these models are based on trucks that are sold all-over Europe, Oceania, South America, South Asia, Africa, Russia etc.....
