they said 9 sec at 100kph & 18km/l consumption
...torque is far good compared to civic.
if you are into color, choices are tonic & blue color only.

Which is which? The Civic is a Honda, the Focus is a Ford.
The Focus has better fuel consumption, better acceleration (recorded 8.6 seconds 0-100, stock... over and over and over again... the clutch is indestructible) and better handling (though the Civic is lighter, which leads to better slalom times). But the Focus costs over 150,000 - 200,000 pesos more.
If you can afford the TDCi, go ahead. It's the best CRDi engine on the market right now, in terms of its combination of fuel economy and power. But the Civic 1.8 MT is a fun car, and it's also pretty fast. It's probably the best value for its price range, if you're looking at the base model.

May 2nd, 2008 10:01 AM #7Where did you get the data?
cornering: Hairpin is for Civic? 90° corner is for focus?
How can a Focus be better in 90° cornering than a Civic that is good in a hairpin cornering [over 90°]? No offense, I'm just wondering. Thanks!
Hindi ba parang unfair if you compare
Ford Focus' Top of the Line TDci vs. Honda's Lowest Civic Model 1.8?
dapat ata Focus TDci vs Civic 2.0.
the Civic 1.8 is a lil over 800k while the Civic 2.0 with the k20 engine is over 1.1M. I think the difference in the price alone shows the difference between the two models. I would love to see a comparison between the top models between ford and honda.

It's over 20 km/l on the highway. 21 is possible on the NLEX.
In traffic, it's more like 13-16 km/l.
