August 24th, 2012 03:21 AM #14City 1.5 A/T is not fuel efficient. My brother has one. ~8KM/L ayon sa reading. Same lang ng Civic ko

August 24th, 2012 12:04 PM #16I also had this choices before. I end up buying Elantra 1.6 AT. So far ok naman. My only gripe is the poor noise insulation.
Sa FC naman, I used to own Civic FD 1.8MT and much less ang consumption ng Elantra 1.6 AT, probably due to the smaller displacement. I think I am getting around 11-13Km/L sa Elantra, 70% highway vs 9-10Km/L sa Civic.

My first brand new car was a 2006 Honda City 1.5VTEC CVT
That is one efficient car considering that the 1.5 engine is more powerful than bigger 1.6l engines at the time. 10 to 11 km/l easy on city driving, 14 to 16 km/l hataw mode sa high way ... Kaya ayun, we ended up using it more as compared to my Tucson . . . 4 years pa lang e 110,000 km agad.
Sadly, the new City is no longer that efficient ... Even yung 1.3L ng officemate ko can't reach 8KM/L in makati traffic . . . Mas matipid pa nga yung MS GLS-V nya.
Hence, when I needed to replace my 2006 City, I ended up with an Elantra 1.8GLS that can do 8 to 9 KM/L easy in Makati Traffic . . . I suppose mas matipid sa traffic yung 1.6L

One can only hope.
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
