It's a very crowded market boasting lots of tech, toys, turbos, driver aids, and moonroofs, all pulled by 1.5L engines and priced between 1.1M to 1.7M.

Which one would you pick and why (list is as of July 2023)?

    1. Changan CS55 Plus
    2. Changan Uni-T
    3. Chery Tiggo 7 Pro
    4. Ford Territory
    5. GAC Emkoo
    6. GAC GS4
    7. Geely Azkarra
    8. GWM Haval H6
    9. Haima S7
    10. JAC S3
    11. Jetour Dashing
    12. Maxus D60
    13. MG HS
    14. MG RX5

Personally, I wouldn't include the Territory sa list.

Its a Ford and its locally backed by Ford's local network or dealers and service centers.

If Toyota released a Vios na made in China, would you include it sa list?

    ***back to the thread***

If I'm buying a "Chinese car" right now

Geely - as its under Sojitz
Maxus - as its under AC

    None.
At least this is my way of not patronizing major chinese product.
    For not respecting our sovereignty.

Same. Plus I am loyal to Toyota. Even if I wanted another brand, I'm stuck with Toyota because the casa branch I go to has excellent service

Same sentiment here. With vehicles at least you still have a choice unlike with other items where made in China is a foregone fact.

Just an observation. The people I know who bought Chinese cars, including the ever popular Ford Territory, are usually first time buyers or are not too keen with cars in general. My personal theory is that they are looking at cars like they're smartphones and not well... cars. I'm guessing it was the flashy tech and barrage of marketing that got them to bite the bullet.

I also share the same sentiments with others, I won't buy Chinese cars. But not necessarily because I hate China. Its just that I feel that these brands are quite young and are not proven yet in the Philippines.
