I think the biggest challenge for maintenance with regards to the new City/Jazz is the replacement of the CVT fluid. Normal change oil and other filters can easily be done outside casa. However, you need to make sure you have the right fluid and procedures when changing the CVTF.

February 23rd, 2018 05:03 AM #54For u guys what is best, the new honda city 1.5 E MT or the 1.5 E CVT? Ang akin lng kc ung MT eh ndi sya alloy pro manual sya pro ung CVT alloy wheels.. what do u think is the best MT or CVT?
Ndi dn ba magkakaproblema sa CVT kng long drive like for example Pangasinan to manila or Pangasinan to Cagayan vice versa?
Anu kaya magandang kulay na kunin? For example black available ba sa lahat ng honda showroom?
Sorry if I have a lot of questions, thanks and Godbless..

February 23rd, 2018 08:08 AM #55MT versus AT or CVT has always been a personal choice.
some folks, however, say that if stop and go traffic is your usual route, AT or CVT is the more convenient, albeit expensive, choice.
i do not think long drive is a no-no for the CVT.
black? only if you have a willing slave who will keep it clean for you. "dumi-hin siya."
also, black and other dark colors, are invisible at nights. "un-safe", if you ask me.
but it's still your choice, sir.
good luck.

For city driving, the CVT is more convenient.
Hindi. Linggo linggo akong naglolong drive with my CVT -equipped Honda. Walang problema at all.
That's really up to you. Personally I like Modern Steel on the City.

February 23rd, 2018 08:58 AM #57Id choose the CVT AT. Just much more efficient and practical. Cant deny the comfort and ease of use of a CVT as well.
These are all modern and heavily tested transmissions. Long drives are no issues whatsoever for these transmissions. I wonder where you got that notion.

CVT always has the upper hand when it comes to convenience, especially with the horrible traffic we experience everyday. Manual will only be ideal for weekend drives or if you live in the province where roads are clearer and traffic is less.
You don't have to worry about the reliability of the transmission for long drives. Modern cars are built with resilient transmissions that can endure regular long drives.
Honestly, color choice would hugely depend on your preference. Functional benefits of colors will always be the same. Darker shades will be the most difficult to maintain (be prepared for the inevitable swirl marks which will become even more visible) but will look very beautiful when clean and shiny. Silver hides dirt and scratches best. White is a dirt magnet, but, like dark colors, it looks absolutely stunning when clean. Choose one that will make your heart beat faster every time you see your car.Availability will depend on the dealership, so it's best to look around.
