    If I'm an executive of a local company and offered a car plan, I ain't choosing either vehicle. There are far better vehicles in its price range that offer more comfort and a refined ride.

    Between all the PPV's available in the market, I guess I'd pick the Everest. The MUX 3.0L offers good value for its price though.

    Japanese president Abe rides a 2nd gen fortuner in his convoy. Sometimes we discuss business while on the road. A noisy engine will be disturbing.

    To make this simple, all new suvs now in the market(everest, fortuner[medyo matagtag nga lang, LOL], montero) is on a league of it's own and you can't really compare it with the aged MUX because its overall platform is a generation older.

    People buy MUX because its an Isuzu at matibay daw and price vs. Spec ratio is good as well. Sometimes, people just dont care about extra airbags, NVH, traction control, noise cancelling, etc. since sanay na tayo na wala yun.

    When you go up the ladder and experienced somthing better or something smoother, dun mo hahanapin pa lang ung mga ganung features.

    Like for example, some would say dont buy a car without ABS and nung araw namang abs masaya na tayo. LOL.

    A generation older? Edi yung mu-7 yun? The mu-X/TB twins came out in 2012/2013, then the Everest was announced a year later.

    Also, I wouldn't consider the Fortuner as part of the "upper ladder". A 1.4M Peso vehicle without ESC. Sa interior, pwede pa.

    I agree that the MUX feels a generation older than the Fortuner, Everest, and Montero.

    I don't know if you've driven all 4 (5 if you include the TB), but the MUX/TB has much noisier engines than the other 3. Closer to the 4D56 and 2KD-FTV than the 4N15 and 2GD-FTV.

    Interior quality is also subpar to the current crop of PPVs. Even if the MUX has all sorts of toys (leather seats, touch screen HU, etc), the Everest, Montero, and even Fortuner all feel much much more premium and modern inside.

    Same with the exterior. The MUX looks closer in design to the old Montero and Fortuner, although I think the latter is more timeless than the MUX.

    What makes the MUX a great buy despite feeling the most dated is that it's so freakin' cheap at 1.4M with all the bells and whistles already.

    Very much agree. Try nyo kasi drive yung mga bago. The mux drives like previous gen montero and fortuner. Maybe mas ok ng konti. Pero compared sa newer ppv, napagiwanan na naman ang isuzu

    Biyenan ko, maka isuzu. MUX target nila. Ang dali kasi ibenta sa probinsya nun mga crosswind nilang nauna.

    Hope this is the right thread. But i have the same dillema right now. Pero im choosing between (3.0 MUX 2x4 LSA w/30k discount and Ford Everest 2x4 trend w/80k discount) Montero sana choice ko nung una pero december palang wala na sila mabigay na unit na 2x4 GLS AT and hangang ngayon wala padin waiting pa daw, and Fortuner G din pero sobra bare for me.

    Nag test drive nako ng everest sa alabang (ambiente unit) and so far it was a good driving experience for me, nagulat ako kasi ang light ng manibela nya when driving and ok naman ang power nya. My own opinion, Everest Trend has really great interior and "macho look" exterior, halos kumpleto naman ang features nya except back camera. As far as ive read and heard, Ford seemed to have improved a lot in terms of relaiablity & quality compared to many, many years ago. Pero i dunno why im still hesitant in buying a P1.4+M unit pag dating sa Ford, one is that still im not %100 sold reagrding quality and reliablity (no offense to ford owners). But then again im really drawn to the exterior & interior.

    Sa Isuzu Mux i might be test driving tomorrow, i also like the exterior (nung una hindi ko type looks nya, pero habang tumatagal gumaganda na and looks spartan/rugged to me). And comming from a friend who owns 2 crosswinds, he can attest of Isuszu's tough reliable engine (which is a HUGE plus for me). I have no complains on the interior of the MUX, it looks plain, simple but not to dull for my taste. Again, from what ive read and heard from actual Isuzu owners the big clincher for me is the reliablity.

    For sure wala naman perfect na car, its just that iniisip ko which vehicle will have the less chance of headaches in the future. This will be my 1st diesel vehicle, i have Honda city 1.5E and i just sold my 2012 Sportage (gas). Right now im %55 3.0 MUX & % 45- Everest Trend. Should i just believe and play it safe and get the MUX ? or take give Ford a chance ? P1.4m is no chump change, and buying avehicle is no investment either so im hoping im picking the best on both winners.

    As to reliability, parehas lang Toyota, mitsu at isuzu. The Korean and American brands are really weak in reliability. Crosswind? It also has issues like body rust and a/t switch failures.
