July 30th, 2024 11:33 PM #1I really wanted a mazda again (either a CX-3 or 3) but unfortunately the Cavite branch closed down.
So our choices with the nearest dealerships are honda, nissan, kia, MG, hyundai and our budget is 1.5m max.
I heard MG has some after market sales issues? (not sure how true this is)
We're interested in the City RS hatchback or sedan but they don't have stock until end of August.
Hyundai, I haven't found any models that interest me.
So we got into Nissan Almera and Kia Sonet..
The deal breaker (which I would need advice) would be the reliability as I'm not sure if Nissan still has CVT problems and the KIA Sonet is a new model so still untested long term.
Which model has the better reputation in terms of reliability?
Also any other suggestion for other brands/model would be welcome!

Okay din BRV or HRV. Nissan Kicks.

July 31st, 2024 12:42 AM #3how far is the next nearest mazda dealer? i did check out the mazda3 hatch, as well as corolla altis, before pulling the trigger on a city hatchback (pre-facelift discounted price 980k) just last march.
mazda3 hb. huge c-pillar blind spots. this is a deal breaker.
almera. not a fan of turbos on appliance cars
corolla altis. why aren't you considering this? i almost got this one, the honda just won out on price LOL, and the jazz-style ULTR seats are hands down the best, you're not going to get this much cargo versatility on any sedan
sonet. china car. all variants no curtain airbags
creta. all variants no curtain airbags

July 31st, 2024 06:29 AM #5+1 din sa Altis. Alam ko hindi naman strict ang 3 months. Max ay 6 months or 5k Kms. Ok din Corolla Cross.

July 31st, 2024 08:37 PM #6No more free maintenance package on the Altis? Last time I checked Toyota (which was admittedly a few years ago) they had a 20k kms free maintenance offer on all their cars.

12km is negligible. pero naka twist beam pa rin yung mazda3(corolla has independent susp). and the other deal-breaker: the screen. old design, not within easy reach, considering how much you interact with AA/carplay these days
when i got the cityHB last mar it was the obvious choice but today it's almost 1.2m. corolla grs non hybrid is 1.3m. small price difference. you get bigger engine and independent suspension on the corolla and is an overall bigger car. so today i'd probably pick the corolla
