Try considering the Audi A4 TDI 2.0 diesel. This is the better A4 in the market right now compared to the 2.0 gas version which is underpowered. I was hoping also that BMW would come to their senses and release the 320D diesel, which is also far better than the gas counterpart. BMW already released a 520D. The only thing I don't like about the Audi is its already dated looks. The interior is from the previous 2001 model.

520d has 22Km/L consumption * 223Kph top speed. 0-100 in 8secs.
since 320d has the same engine as 520d and smaller, im thinking it might have better mileage plus higher top speed.
*monseratto: sir how much is an A4 TDI at this time?

which A4? the 1.8T, TDI or the V6? quattro or 2wd?
against its closest competitor, the A4 1.8T, i would pick the 320i. more room, better driving dynamics, slightly better performance...

I'd pick the BMW first & foremost for it having more dealers.
I'd go with the BMW 320i Executive (around Php 2.65M)... 6-speed A/T, 6-airbags, dynamic & corner brake control, traction & stability control, auto-headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, leather seats, start/stop engine button, etc.
Though if you want diesel, the Audio 2.0 TDi is the way to go.

BMW 3 Series
for me, 320i Sport for P 2,850,000.
2.0L DOHC 16V Valvetronic
-150HP
-200NM
-6speed AT
-MacPherson strut front, Multilink rear suspension
Audi A4 1.8T P 2,850,000
1.8L DOHC 20V Direct Injection Turbo
-160HP
-225NM
-CVT
-4Wheel Double Wishbone suspension
the Audi has good specs too. actually, it has more power than 2.0L BMW with valvetronic. the direct injection Turbo engine produces alot of grunt plus it also has a CVT transmission too. it has power seats unavailable even in the top line 320i. the only let down with this model is that, its just a rebodied model from the 2001-2004 model which is meant to compete with the E46 Series. Also, for the price, i dont think its too much to expect a RWD or an AWD layout atleast. also, some luxo features are missing.
on the otherhand, BMW 320i Sport offers rear drive, alot of electronic goodies such as ABS, CBC (Corner Brake Control), DBC (Dynamic Brake Control), DSC (Dynamic Stability Control), DTC (Dynamic Traction Control), even a engine start/stop button. plus having a comparable amount of luxury goodies Automatic headlamps; rain-sensing wipers even a Stereo/6-disc/aux with 6 speakers for your i-pods. it has a thicker 225/45R17 tires vs. 215/45R17 for the A4 1.8T.
Locally, BMW has better & plentier dealer support.Last edited by basti08; August 14th, 2006 at 04:04 PM.
For a 7-seater under 1 million, the Suzuki Ertiga is definitely one of the best options — it’s...
