Hello mga tsikoteers,
I'm a bit baffled by the 2003 versions of the Grandeur and Superio.
According to www.motioncars.com, the Grandeur should have a VCD player
and LCD screen onboard. And the Superio has a moonroof, sans the VCD and
LCD.
However, when I went to a car dealer to check the cars out, the 2003 model
of either didn't have the LCD, VCD, nor moonroof. Was there a change in
accessories by Nissan in 2003 for these cars?

yun nga pinagtataka ko e.
alam ko 2001-2002 model sure merong VCD LCD ang grandeur.
and merong moonroof ang superio.
pero yung mga tiningnan kong 2003 model na grandeur, walang VCD/LCD combo.
tapos yung superio naman, wala na yung moonroof.
tama ba na ganito yung 2003 models?

My ride is an N16 Exalta with moonroof. 2002 yung purchase date and registration but according to Nissan, part daw yun ng 2001 series. Yung 2001 at 2002 series, same lang yung models for GS Exalta - Superio at Grandeur. Yung 2003 GS models, wala na ata moonroof at VCD/LCD option.

i think 875K back then ang full optioned out na Sentra Grandeur (N16) noong 2002. and quoting motioncars Originally Published August 2001 Issue
For the standard 1.6-liter Grandeur model, I’ll probably have to dedicate one whole paragraph just for its features: wood grain interior panels, chrome instrument surrounds (ala BMW), all-leather interior, rear sun shade, a heads-up digital speed display, 6-disc CD / VCD changer with 6-speaker system and 6-inch LCD pop-up monitor, automatic climate control, steering-wheel mounted audio / video controls, rear back-up sensor, four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock braking system, electronic brake distribution and brake assist system, speed-sensing door locks and driver’s airbag.
An asking price of 875,000 may seem a lot to get all of this stuff, but then again, the comparatively Spartan Honda Civic VTi-S is already 823,000—and this doesn’t even have four-wheel disc brakes and a CD changer, much less a VCD player. So, in terms of value for money, it seems that the Nissan Exalta ranks as a good buy. If you find the top-of-the-line Grandeur too much, you can always opt for the 1.6-liter GS swapping the VCD player for a stereo cassette and a sun roof for only 835,000.

thanks for the info.
yup, i was checking out the motioncars site which is why i got confused with the 2003 model because it didn't have some of the options the older model had.
anyway, i'm now opting for the 2002 model instead as it seems to be more loaded than the later model.
