i noticed that the resale price of this car is comparable to a toyota corolla 93 - 94.

why is the resale price so low? how does it compare to a corolla or a honda? if they fall within the same price range, which would be a better buy for an everyday car? i live in the province, not as much traffic as in manila, and most times it will be just me and my wife in the car. priority is comfort, fuel efficiency, and maintenance costs.

    a. 94 toyota corolla
    b. 94 honda civic
    c. 97 mazda 323 familia

please indicate pros and cons. i don't want to make an impulsive buy. so i'd appreciate every comment and opinion.

i've had a familia gli for 9 yrs. all i can say is it's one heck of a car. ako pa naman yung tipong tamad at kuripot magmaintain ng sasakyan pero once lang ako tinirikan nun - nung ibebenta ko na. haha. nagtampo ata. but all it needed was a bit of cleaning sa distributor cap at umandar na uli ng maayos. sabi ng mekaniko maganda pa compression after 140k kms of abuse. ganda suspension (parang sport mode kasi matagtag). matulin. all my electrical parts still worked. ang glxi mas sulit kasi may abs, cd changer, foglamps, rear fold-down seats and driver side airbag (for 98-up models).

pero kung fuel efficiency and ease of maintenance ang habol mo, i wouldn't suggest you get one. especially since nasa province ka. baka mahirapan ka sa parts. kung mga regular maintenance parts like filters, belts, brake pads, etc., walang problema. halos pare pareho naman lahat ng jap cars. but when it comes to the specialized parts, baka madalang or mahal. kung malapit ka sa banawe st. e walang problema hehe. try to check within your area kung may source ka ng service at parts. and stay away from the matic version, lakas sa gas. manual sa akin. i usually get 8-9 kms/liter. kayang 10 pero halos di ako nag-e-aircon nun. sa highway highest ko was 13.

anyway, good luck and hope this helps. if you ask me, would i get another one if i needed it? definitely yes.

pahabol, kaya ko nga pala binenta ay dahil i needed a bigger vehicle. naging bahain kasi sa amin lately. otherwise, malamang hinahataw hataw ko pa rin yun ngayon hehehe
